One thing I do miss about having a personal blog is that I was able to articulate thoughts—thoughts that were just too long, too convoluted to be casually communicated. It’s funny how I just realized that I don’t really have much of an blog presence anymore and this is perhaps the only interface I can use to fully articulate my thoughts. I stopped having a personal blog because I grew increasingly uncomfortable about having my life out there like that, even though more often than not, I may as well have been writing in code. However, I do miss having a blog in times like these when I do want to articulate things—for sentimentality’s sake—and I yearn for it to be, to some degree, public.
You’ve Got Mail is on TVGN right now and I think it is one of the best films of all time. No other film is as delightful or charming. I love it so much.
If you ever feel bad about your own writing, just remember that one of the world’s most well-known works of classic literature is self-insert fanfiction where the author hangs out with his favorite poet and is guided on his journey of discovery by a Manic Pixie Dream Girl version of a woman he met twice.
